Tell us about your role in KNKM

Shakti:
I play 'Acharrya' the man with pure Indian culture living in Kuwait, I can't stick to an Indian who does not follow our culture. I am the father to my only daughter 'Saloni' and the neighbor to Rajveer Malhotra (Kiran Kumar). I visit my neighbor's house very often for a cup of tea and to trouble 'Ghansham' (Junior Dev Anand), the house boy.

Are you playing a comic role in KNKM?

Shakti:
KNKM is not a comedy film so my character is different and unique compared to other movies.

What were your experiences on the sets of KNKM

Shakti:
KNKM specially made as a first Hindi film in Kuwait, is a kind of trial project as there were insufficient equipments, professional people and extras to work on the sets. Kuwait, the country is so difficult to shoot even after having the permission from the Ministry that we can understand the difficulties which Director T-Bush might have gone through. Once we were asked to stop shooting somewhere in the city when 3 police cars approched the location from nowhere.

KNKM is the first Hindi Bollywood movie to be made in Kuwait..

Shakti:
Yes. The Producers have something to prove out there. T-Bush has given a good exposure to Kuwait. Well, he would have done it much, much better if the local Kuwatis had to support him while making the film.

What was your reaction when the directors approached you?

Shakti:
When T-Bush and Arif kazi approached me my question was, why is the film designed to be shot in Kuwait, and the answer I got was, the film is based on expatriates living in Kuwait'. T-Bush further told me, “I want to thank Kuwait the country who gave us an opportunity to work, earn and support our families back home in India.”

Will the Indians living in Kuwait love the film?

Shakti:
People of all genre will love the film. The expats living in Kuwait and the local Kuwaitis must support the film to recover money that is spent to portray the beautiful relationship of these two countries..

What message does KNKM have for the audience?

Shakti:
I know people in Kuwait like to watch commercial films of Shahruk Khan and Salman Khan but KNKM has got a good message for everyone too. I was touched with the dialogue “Don't forget the hand that fed you bread..”

What is your opinion about T-Bush Films?

Shakti:
I enjoyed working with T-Bush films, my only hope is that, next time T-Bush should make a movie in India for more and more people to appreciate his concept and ideas and to accept him as a good filmmaker.

Are you going to be part of the Premiere Launch of KNKM?

Shakti:
I would love to be a part of the launch party of Kahin Na Kahin Milenge but my shooting dates are difficult to adjust. Let me try... If possible I will surely be there to support the young filmmaker.
