Kuwait: Credit for the popularity of Goan Konkani songs perhaps goes to legendary singers such as Young Menezes, Kid Boxer, M. Boyer, Alfred Rose, etc. Their legacy is kept alive by many star singers.

Current heartthrob, and one of Goa’s most popular and highest paid star Lawry Travasso is well-known for his quality songs. He is credited for taking the modern rhythm to new heights with his unique compositions and singing style.

The famed singer is expected to entertain Kuwait in the mega show 'SATH PANVDDE' scheduled to be staged Friday 7th November 2014 at the American School Hall, Maidan Hawally starting 4.30pm sharp.

Lawry Travasso needs no introduction to Konkani audience. He has created a niche for himself as one of Goa’s best melodious singers and a much sought after artiste. During his recent visit to Kuwait, Lawry captivated the audience with 2 rocking, sensible solos in Sammy Tavares Tiatr ‘Tim Thikam Sandlelim’.

Audiences across the globe, and specially Kuwait Goans always have high expectations from the gifted singer. The mega star is sure to live up to his class with an outstanding performance in ‘Sath Panvdde’.

Before joining the tiatr stage, Lawry was a keyboardist and main vocalist for beat groups like ‘Little Coordinators’ and ‘Off Rhythm’. He was given a break in tiatr by his co-villager and celebrated playwright, Shri John Claro.

Having released over 60 audio albums till date, Lawry occupies an enviable place in Konkani music.  The singer has performed in various dramas, shows and symposiums everywhere in the Konkan world including his recent visit to the United States of America. He also features in numerous VCDs.

Lawry has also written and directed his own shows. His maiden tiatr ‘Kagtachim Fulam’ in 2012 performed over 25 shows while another drama titled ‘Bavlelim Fulam’ was meaningful too.

'Sath Panvdde' (Seven Steps) is a Special Tribute to Rosary Ferns, a celebrated Goan singer who passed away in 2011. The drama is written and directed by Rosary's brother Fidelis Fernandes and features a galaxy of well-known artistes from Goa and Kuwait.
