COMEDIAN AGOSTINHO – STAR OF THE MOMENT

Agostinho's acting in Konkani dramas and video films during the last 2 decades has acclaimed him as one of Goa’s top rated natural comedians.

Agostinho came into global limelight with his maiden VCD 'Mar taka Soddnaka' which became an instant super-duper hit.

His other VCDs 'Sorry Pai', 'Kuroikar' and 'Sunday' were also well accepted followed by many other CDs, VCDs and youTube videos which the comedian must have lost count by now.

Agostinho initially had 4 audio albums of jokes and songs to his credit - namely: Interview, Good-for-nothing, Suseg, and Honeymoon. The number has surely multiplied 100 times with the amount of albums that he has featured over the years.

Agostinho has toured the entire Middle East, UK and Canada along with some of Goa's top most artistes entertaining hundreds of thousand audiences.

Agostinho’s comedy, with his rapid-fire tongue, is greatly admired. He is one artiste to stand up to the expectations of audience and is never known to disappoint. He overshadows most other stars anytime he visits Kuwait -- whichever show he performs.

The Comedian is the eldest son among 4 brothers and one sister. He hails from Dongorim, Navelim. Agostinho has 2 sons; the elder one who is just 14 years is a Maestro and plays trumpet for Agostinho’s troupe.

Presently, Agostinho holds the presidency of Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG).

A full time writer-director, Comedian Agostinho holds credit for reviving the ‘non-stop show’ of Konkani stage.

COMEDIAN DOMNIC – COMEDIAN PAR EXCELLENCE

His real name is Domingos Coelho, he is better known among his fans as ‘Hodd’ddo Bakru’ or just Comedian Domnic for the laughter he evokes with his hilarious onstage antics.

This comedian also has nearly 25 dramas under his belt as a writer-director.

Interestingly, while most tiatrists make their stage appearance at a very young age, comedian Domnic stepped onto the stage at a late age of 33.

Having initially participated in annual nataks in the late '70s, comedian Domnic wrote and directed his own tiatrs for the annual village feasts in his village of Masher-Bandora, in Ponda taluka, where he was spotted by a relative, Jack Ferns from Vasco, a tiatr contractor by profession.

Ferns introduced comedian Domnic to commercial drama, and his big break came in Patrick Dourado's 'Nomoskar' in 1988.

He later staged his own commercial tiatrs, and has been acting in for all major Goan directors ever since.
