Like most people who predicted Portugal, Argentina and Spain to be in quarters, my last predictions failed with big names. It was not that bad given the fact that the outsted teams were the better ones.
From now on, it can be anyone’s victory as the margin of error will be little. I would like to have yet another go – Predictions for Quarters!
FRANCE V URUGUAY
Uruguay seem to be more organised and their strikers, with Luis Suarez & Cavani, are the best among quarter-finalists.
A lot depends on France’s Grizman (who has scored his 2 goals from penalty kicks) if they are to advance.
Prediction: Uruguay to win
BELGIUM V BRAZIL
It’s a match between the favorites of any World Cup v/s a team that can bulldoze their way to the finals – just like they did against Japan.
Brazil will have to defend this match and they have been more reliable at the back. However, Brazil's dependable and defensive midfielder Cazmiro is out the match with 2 yellows; and we can see both Willian & Neymar are poor in defensive play.
Belgium’s defence will be sharp after the lesson learnt from the Japanese.
The match will not go for penalties.
