TRIUMPH Sports Shop, a stone’s throw away from Fatorda stadium, is the latest in vogue among Goan youth.
The shop owned by Kuwait-based Goan footballer Philip Ferrao from Velsao, Cansaulim, has been serving sports lovers for quite some time.
“I intend to run the shop full time once me and my wife Victoria return back to Goa for good later this year,” says Philip, a former player with Churchill Bros, MRF & Vasco Sports Club, and also with the Champion 90s batch of Velsao Pale player.
The enthusiastic footballer is still very active in Kuwait. He worked in Dubai for a short while in 1993, before landing in Kuwait in January 1994. He has played for a number of clubs in Kuwait and was instrumental in forming the famous Kuwait Goan Association (KGA club).
Over the years, Philip’s shop has been functioning since the year 2016. It has expanded to a wide and latest range of sporting goods.
Although TRIUMPH specializes in football and cricket items, other sport needs are met as well. Philip places a heavy emphasis on customer service and quality products.
