By Gasper Crasto/Kuwait

Tiatr fans, and the Goan tiatr fraternity across the world woke up to the sad news of the death of Jaju Fernandes – one of the finest stage actors and singers.
The famed star died of a heart attack on Tuesday (11th April ’23) morning; people were shocked to see his obituary on WhatsApp & Facebook.
Jaju was known mostly for villain roles, and his ‘atthvech torechem’ unique acting – with crystal clear dialogue delivery and articulate singing style, which helped to increase the curiosity of audiences and subsequently boost the success of dramas.
Personally, Jaju was my favorite actor in every drama of Roseferns that I watched. And he was so friendly whenever I met him at football games -- from Dando Grounds, Benaulim to Fatorda Stadium.

May his soul rest in eternal peace!

Hailing from Benaulim, Jaju was born on 29th September 1960.

Incidentally, his last act was at Arambol on 10th April in Roseferns drama ‘Hem Oxench Choltelem’?
