Kuwait: Don Bosco Oratory (DBO), earlier suspended for the season for indiscipline and misbehaviour only to be reinstated from the semi-final stage, trashed DHL FC 4-1 in a one sided finale of the J.P. D’Mello Memorial Trophy KIFF League Championship played at Qadsiya Stadium on 15th June 2012.

Lloyd, Alexandro Gomes scored 2 quick goals for Don Bosco while Terence Carvalho reduced the margin momentarily as DHL captain Peter Fernandes and Roshan Dias scored sealed the victory to finish 4-1.
Shri Satish Mehta, Ambassador of India to Kuwait was the chief guest on the occasion while former India captain and Arjuna Awardee Bruno Continuo, especially flown in for the final, was a special invitee.

Lloyd Mascarenhas was declared ‘Man of the Match’. The fair play award for the season went to DHL FC and the KIFF Season championship was won by Malabar United. Cruzedio Rodrigues of Navelim Youth Centre was awarded Top Scorer of the season.

The league played on league-cum-knockout basis consists of 19 clubs affiliated to KIFF. They are AVC, Chinchinim, Curtorcares, D.H.L, Don Bosco, FC Sparx, Goa Maroons, Gulf Cable, Indian Strikers, Kuwait Goan Association, Malabar United, Navelim, Betalbatim, Santos FC, Santos United, Skynet, United Friends, United Goans, and Rising Stars.

The teams were drawn into 4 groups. Top 2 teams from each group qualified for the knock-out stage.
