Kuwait: Goa is blessed with immense wealth, but the sons of the
soil at times are not able to reap its benefits.
Instead, Goan ministers and bureaucrats have taken a hold on the
land, they have become greed mongers. They secure their position for power by
inviting and promoting outsiders.
Scenarios like the present ones in Goa have driven Goans to the
extremes and intolerance, forcing many to seek greener pastures abroad.

Coming from a musicians’ family, Faustino has garnered lot of
experience in the field of music. He has played for the Goa Symphonic Orchestra
in his younger days, and his presence in Kuwait is regularly felt in Konkani
dramas.
Hailing from the scenic land of Divar, Goa, Faustino first came
to Kuwait in 2002.
He works as a music teacher at Don Bosco, Kuwait, and lives
happily with his family.
Recalling his younger days, Faustino reveals that he learned the
trumpet at Don Bosco, Panjim under the tutelage of Maestro Santa Cotta, and
later played trumpet at Goa Symphony Orchestra under world-famous, celebrated
Goan Maestro Lourdin Barreto founder of the Goa Philharmonic Choir famed for
western, Indian and Goan choral music and Broadway musicals.
Talking about his past, the humble musician that he is, Faustino
says, “A thought builds up to put one’s experience to test for the love of it,
and not for its gain. My performances in Goa and Kuwait along with my music degrees
will surely support me in my future ventures.”
About the ‘Noxib’ video, Faustino says, “I dedicate this song in
memory of my dad Joe Menezes, a musician himself!”
The Goan Community congratulates Maestro Faustino on this
amazing video!
