KUWAIT: The sequel to popular Konkani movie ‘Home Sweet Home’ is expected to be among top favorites at the Kuwait Konkani Film Festival after a great response to its first story screened here sometime back.
Directed by Swapnil, almost all actors from the primary film feature in Part 2, with the addition of actress Samiksha Desai.
Apart from Samiksha who plays the lead heroine, the movie stars Rajdeep Naik, Aryan Khedekar and John D’Silva, while Goan icon Prince Jacob plays a special role of an ex-Chief Minister of Goa.
Other supporting actors in the film include Prasad Naik, Satish Gawas, Anil Raikar, Luis Bachan, etc.
HOME SWEET HOME - AMONG MOST WIDELY WATCHED FILMS
'Home Sweet Home' movies are among the most widely watched Konkani movies.
The first movie was about land grab scam in Goa. The second film is apparently on Goan politicians and their role in ruining Goa.
‘Home Sweet Home 2’ is among 6 Konkani films scheduled to be screened at the Kuwait Festival, incidentally the first ever Konkani Film Festival at International level.
The event is presented by Goan Cultural Centre Kuwait in association with T-Bush International Films and Konkani Community of Holy Family Cathedral will be held 25th & 26th February 2017 (Public Holidays) at the American International School Auditorium, Maidan Hawally.
Comedy, music and poignancy are synonymous with Konkani cinema, and the Kuwait festival is sure to share this legacy with film lovers.
ALL FILMS WILL HAVE ENGLISH SUB-TITLES.
