Happy Birthday to a true Goan guitarist Lennon Blasco Dsilva whose strings know no borders and his legacy continues to grow with every performance. πΈ✨
From the stages of Goa to the glittering venues of Kuwait and onward to audiences in Canada, your guitar has spoken a universal language.
Over the years, Lennon’s guitar has matured into a voice of its own, fiery when the stage demands fireworks.
Lennon has a rare balance of finesse and feel, making each of his performance memorable. His journey from village stages in Goa to grand international platforms stands as a testament to adaptability, and an undying love for music.
RECENT STINT IN CANADA
What truly sets Lennon apart is not just technical brilliance, but his humility with fellow musicians.
Recently, last July, he played with Joe and The Ban Syndicate in Canada.
Incidentally, Lennon owns 8 expensive lead guitars - which officially means he has more guitars than reasons to stop buying them, and the collection keeps growing faster than a guitarist spotting a ‘limited edition”’ tag! πΈ
Decades into his journey, his passion remains as youthful as the boy who first strummed chords inspired by his father and the Beatles.
Lennon continues to lead Goan music with quiet authority, one soulful note at a time - proving that true musicians never stop learning or rocking the stage.
LENNON’S YOUNGER DAYS
Hailing originally from Curtorim, Lennon has been working in Kuwait since 2003. He is happily married to Virginia Carneiro, the couple has 2 kids – daughter Rosanne and son Ronan.
Lennon’s first instrument was the violin which he learned in Music School at Holy Spirit. After completing 6 grades in violin, Lennon took an interest in learning the guitar when he saw his father play it.
After about a year, he went to Pilar Music School in a bid to learn a bit of classical guitar. Later after 6 months of learning, and watching Goan Bands perform at some grand Beat Shows in Goa playing Rock songs, Lennon became fascinated with rock, pop, and blues music.
Lennon’s first guitar teacher was the famed Chris Correia who used to give guitar lessons in blues and basic rock at his apartment near Fatima School, Margao. Lennon joined his classes and there was no looking back.

Lennon took part in All Goa College Band Competitions and won 1st and 2nd prizes for Damodar College, Margao.
Soon he joined a band called ROMANTICS and played for a year, and later played for a hotel band at Dona Sylvia which gave him immense opportunity to learn standard songs and instrumentals.
Thereafter, Lennon got a break to join a band called CLOUD 9 which was very popular and doing good at that time playing a lot of Beat Shows & Weddings.
After a couple of years, Lennon joined Goa’s top band SKYHIGH but it lasted only a short time as he got a call to work in Kuwait and had to leave music and Goa behind for better prospects.

In Kuwait, Lennon played for IMPRESSIONS mainly to keep up with his music hobby as he loved to play guitar. Later after 2 years he got an offer to play for DEEP IMPACT and played many shows with them.
Subsequently, some top musicians wanted to form a band in Kuwait and that’s when Lennon got together and formed a band called ‘THE CLASSIX’ which played at several corporate shows, weddings, and parties.
Shahu Almeida who had known Lennon for many years, when they played in Goan Bands and had a good friendship bond, approached Lennon to play for his show and from then on, Lennon has been a regular guitarist at Goan shows.
On the mega stage, Lennon played with Norman Cardozo for Lorna’s show in Kuwait in 2015, and many other top shows.
---
Big hugs Lennon. We celebrate not just another year in your life, but a remarkable musical journey that has carried the sound of Goa across continents.
