Kuwait: Although Konkani dramas or musical shows in Kuwait are few and far between, they are staged with the same love, vigor and passion as they are in Goa.
There may be loads of difficulties to stage a show in Kuwait but our hard working directors manage to stage their shows, nonetheless.
It is extremely difficult to get a troupe together as some of the artistes have full time jobs. Still, Konkani mogi (lovers) go out of their way to give their best for Konkani drama.
Director of ‘MAIM PAI TIM MAIM PAI’ Shri Domnic Fernandes, himself works as a driver for an aristocratic Kuwaiti family.
Domnic has put all out efforts to bring artistes from Goa and Kuwait together for his Silver Jubilee Show. Infact, the director has been toiling his sweat for the drama since last December when he staged his first show in Goa.
The SILVER JUBILEE show is scheduled to be staged under the platform of Goan Cultural Centre (GCC) at SIMS School, Salmiya, Friday, 19th May 2017 at 4.45 pm.
The show is supported by a number of well-wishers and lovers of Konkani art in Kuwait.
Apparently, the story of the drama is based on a true incident that happened in Kuwait. To make the story more enjoyable Shri Domnic has promised a showbiz of entertainment bringing in most of the original cast that enacted the past 24 shows in Goa as well as some select artistes from Kuwait.
As many as 11 artistes from Goa, including trumpeter Maestro Christo, are being flown in for the show.
