Meena Goes, an upcoming actress on Konkani stage will team up with Konkani stage legend Prince Jacob in Maestro Shahu Almeida’s musical show set to premiere tonite on YouTube.
The couple will split audiences with peals of laughter in two short skits.

While the stalwart Prince Jacob who made his debut in the field of Tiatr at the age of 13 in Rosario Dias’ tiatr ‘Chuk Hanvem Adharli’ in 1973 and has been still going strong since then, it is good to see the younger generation turning to glamor.
The story of talented Meena Goes is an excellent example of a young girl taking the Tiatr legacy forward.
Born to Luis Goes & Ritinha Goes and hailing from Loutulim, Meena decided to start her career at a young age but could not pursue it due to the lack of guidance.
When she finished her schooling she decided to venture into the field she was so passionate about.
MEENA LEARNS UNDER SHARON MAZARELLO
Meena joined the Institute of Theatre Art run by famous Tiatrist Sharon Mazarello and did a 3-month course on stage and performing arts.
Meena decided to join the Tiatr, and her association with Sharon gave her the opportunity to start working with renowned directors.
Her dream finally came true and she was able to successfully establish herself.
Meena’s journey reached its pinnacle in 2009 when she joined Tiatrist Milagres De Chandor who taught her the techniques to perform various characters with finesse and precision.
As Tiatr is a musical drama, one must know how to sing. So singing was the main challenge for Meena without which she could not continue.
She had to undergo intense training and practice in the art of singing, and with time she started to improve.
THE RISE OF MEENA
Presently Meena has reached a stage where she can do any role and sing relentlessly on the stage. To her, singing is more difficult than acting. According to her, many people may be able to act but singing is an entirely different ball-game. One needs a lot of practice and dedication to learning the art of singing.
Meena gives a lot of the credit for her success to the famous Tiatrist and well-known personality of Goa – John D’Silva who helped her get roles in films.
