Saw the much-hyped action thriller ‘Jailer’, starring our ever-green 70-plus superstar Rajnikant.
I was attracted to watch after I saw the trailer and reviews of the film.
Although Rajnikant has never been as stunning or glamorous as Sylvester Stallone, or Amitabh Bachchan, the Tamilians make the star look, yet again, eternally iconic.
What I loved about ‘Jailer’ is the villain Vinayakan’s sensational acting; unseen in modern cinema – English, Hindi or whatever.
Vinayakan, I learnt, is a famous Malayalam actor and playback singer. He plays a manic crime boss in the film, and he isn’t the typical villain who gets mindlessly trashed by Rajni as in his other films.
Although ‘Jailer’ is highly engaging all throughout, whenever Vinayakan makes an appearance, the impact is tremendous! He is exciting to watch.
It won’t be a surprise if Vinayakan wins the best actor this year! He is the superstar of the film!
