Kuwait: Ages ago, women acting on stage were looked down upon in Goa and even in developed countries. It took hundreds of years for women to be seen on stage.

Going through history, one finds it was in 1904 that a first woman stepped up on stage in Goan tiatr. Since then, young girls coming into drama have risen to a great extent; some have climbed up to pedestal fame and are known to fans as ‘legends’.

Making waves in Goan dramas for almost a decade now, is the wonder girl Andrea D’Souza, daughter of well-known singer Bab Andrew, hailing from Zuari, Goa Velha.

The young actress-singer will be seen in a special cameo alongside Kuwait’s unsung hero Xavier Furtado. Interestingly, Andrea will also pair up with Kuwait-based Bab Agnel, her neighbor in Goa, to sing a duet called ‘Sogleanim Zannam Zaunk Zai’.
